Graduate Studies Committee for Graduate Degrees in Biochemistry  

   The Graduate Studies Committee (GSC) for the Ph.D. and M.A. degrees in Biochemistry involve twenty five faculty from several departments at UT-Austin.  Areas of active research include the structures of biological molecules, mechanisms of recognition and signal transduction, control and catalysis, the biochemical processes of metabolism, synthesis of biomacromolecules, and the expression of genetic information.
